Bunjil Place \ Koalasize for You! \ Digital Artwork with Rosie Deacon

Koalasize For You! is a place making digital art activation, the result of a creative collaboration between Rosie Deacon and Simon Burgin for Deacon’s exhibition SPAGHETTI-STACK-SNUFFLE-SHUFFLE.

Koalasize For You! invites the audience to participate in an irreverent aerobic dance routine alongside some whimsical Koala characters on the Bunjil Place public screen. Inspired by 80’s instructional aerobic dance videos, morning show Aerobics Oz Style and the iconic national aerobic championships. Aerobic routines were performed by Deacon and filmed by videographer Dara Gill. The artwork leverages real-time digital processing to relay live augmented reality effects on to the participants on the Bunjil Place outdoor screen.
